✦ By Kao Japan — Bab Medicure Series
One tablet. One bathtub. The kind of bath that actually melts the day away — not just warms the water.
Japan has a bathing culture that the rest of the world is still catching up to. The concept of ofuro — a long, intentional soak — is considered essential for health, not just hygiene. Bab Medicure is Kao's quasi-drug certified bath bomb line that brings that tradition into a single tablet. Drop one into your bathtub, and the carbonated effervescence begins immediately — lifting skin circulation, opening pores, and turning the water into something that actually feels therapeutic.
The Flower Fruit Fragrance variant uses a warm floral-fruit blend that fills the bathroom within seconds. The active ingredients — Sodium Bicarbonate and Dried Sodium Sulfate — are the same compounds found in Japan's renowned natural hot springs. Sodium Bicarbonate softens water and skin simultaneously. Sodium Sulfate promotes warmth retention, so your body stays warm longer after you step out. This is a quasi-drug product, meaning the active ingredients are government-approved for their stated physiological effects. One tablet per bath, 150–200 litres of water.
🛁 How to Use
Fill bathtub with warm water (150–200 litres / standard tub). Drop 1 tablet into the water and allow to dissolve fully before entering. Soak for 15–20 minutes. Rinse after bathing. Do not use bath water for plants — high mineral salt content.
