The Light version of the Gokujyun lotion exists for one reason: some people find the regular formula slightly too heavy in Bangladesh's humidity, especially in summer. Same hyaluronic acid hydration, just a thinner, faster-absorbing texture that disappears into skin in seconds and leaves zero stickiness behind.
HadaLabo's Gokujyun line is built on stacked hyaluronic acid — multiple molecular sizes in a single formula, each reaching a different depth. The Light version uses the same approach but in a more watery base that's better suited to oily or combination skin types, or anyone who wants hydration without any weight or shine. In Dhaka's heat, this is often the version people end up reordering because it doesn't interfere with sunscreen or makeup layered on top.
Can be layered twice — the second application on top of the first is a technique called "double lotion" and is common in Japanese routines for getting noticeably more hydration without switching to a heavier product.
- After cleansing, pour a coin-sized amount into palm
- Pat gently across face and neck — never drag
