CICA stands for Centella Asiatica — a medicinal plant used for over 3,000 years in Asian herbal medicine to heal wounds, calm inflammation, and repair damaged skin. In modern skincare, it's the go-to active for skin that's been over-treated, irritated by actives, sun-damaged, or just chronically reactive. It works by stimulating collagen synthesis at the wound-healing level while simultaneously suppressing the inflammatory pathways that cause redness, sensitivity, and acne.
This serum pairs Centella Asiatica Extract with Madecassoside — the concentrated active compound extracted from Centella that most clinical studies point to as the key healing agent. Panthenol (Provitamin B5) adds another layer of barrier repair and moisture retention. Sodium Hyaluronate handles hydration. After cleansing, press 2–3 drops gently into face with fingertips — no rubbing. Focus on red, irritated, or acne-prone areas. Follow with moisturiser. Suitable for morning and night use. Can be layered under other serums if needed.
